Mat Desa<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ir. Ts. Gs. Dr. Safari bin Hj. Mat Desa currently serves as Deputy Director General in National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM), Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA). He obtained PhD in Civil Engineering and Structure from University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in the research area of Coastal Hydrodynamic Physical Modelling. He is a Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate from the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM), Corporate Member to Institution of Engineer Malaysia (IEM), Professional Geospatialist from Institution of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Malaysia (IGRSM) and Asean Chartered Professional Engineer. He was appointed as certified lead examiner for Professional Assessment Examination, Board of Engineer Malaysia; Industrial Advisory Panel to UPM, UniSZA, UiTM, UniMAP and UNITEN. Very active in publication and has published more than hundred technical manuscripts, keynote paper as well as technical presentation. Not just limit in publication, he also has been appointed as Editorial Board Membership, Science Publishing Group in R&amp;D, USA; Journal of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering and Journal Teknologi, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. As his passion is in physical modelling, he was granted for professional industrial attachment in HR Wallingford UK in 2014 and engaged in big scheme modelling particularly for coastal rock cliff in UK and hydrodynamic thermal outflow in Saudi.
